DR: Making my previous podcast series earlier in 2021, and seeing the response to that, made me realise that there was an appetite for a show that explored the paranormal in a way that felt different to the more traditional ones that very much preach to the converted. I found that our audience for was divided between sceptics and believers and that even larger group, people who are not sure! After , I received so many emails from people who wanted to share their own stories – fascinating and often chilling cases that scratched my storyteller’s itch. I felt that if these stories intrigued, puzzled and unsettled me, then they might have that was the degree to which our audience would involve themselves – people sending us their questions and theories and trying to solve the cases. It’s been wonderful to behold and I’m delighted that people have forged friendships and found social groups out of being part of the ‘Uncanny Community’.
