The Year of the Water Snake

2013 welcomes the year of the Water Snake which begins on February 10th, 2013 and ends January 30th, 2014 when the snake goes slithering out. The Snake prefers quiet predictability to chaos and commotion. The Snake is the sixth animal figure of the Chinese zodiac and represents transformation. In the western world it is the symbolic animal figure of healing used in medicine. Though feared in the Western world, in Asia the Snake is more often seen as a positive symbol representing bravery in men and beauty in women.
