Part One
Lucia
Lucia wanted him. Wanted to keep him. Needed to taste the contours of his body - to bite and scratch and lick and taste him.
Oh Gabriel… The delicious thrill she felt when she remembered how it felt to have Gabriel inside her. When she remembered how Gabriel had held her and desired her and -
Lucia smiled, although she hadn’t meant to. Licked her lips. Gabriel didn’t notice - even her unique allure was forgotten in his shock.
Hello Gabriel.
The Mistress said. She pressed the knife-tip against her apple‘s skin, enough to bend the surface but not to break it. So delicate. So precise. When she let it slide on through - when the skin split - the sound was almost deafening.

The Mistress bit the slice in half. The rest of the apple, she tossed aside.
For a moment - just for a moment - Lucia thought that Gabriel would walk away. Would The Mistress stop him if he tried? Could she? She was quick - and strong - but Gabriel…
Please…
Her lips moved, but she didn’t make a sound. Her fingers twitched to reach out to him, as if she could somehow hold him there.
Don’t go…
He stayed. Perhaps, somehow, he heard her. Perhaps he
