About this ebook
Fish & Game Warden Suzanne Jenkins loved old pickup trucks, had since she was small. The 1951 Ford she saw for sale alongside the road was a dream come true, but it had a disturbing past with a story to tell—one which would rock Warden Jenkins’ world forever. Previously unpublished, Roundabout is the first short story G.M. Weger ever wrote.
GM Weger
G.M. Weger lives near East Garrison in the town of Salinas, California. She works as an editor/writer for the Department of Defense on former Army base Fort Ord. The inspiration for "East Garrison" came in part from her background around military antiques. Soon after she began working at Fort Ord, she found herself exploring the closed fort on her lunch hour, and felt haunted by spirits of all the soldiers who passed through on their way to four different wars. And then she wrote the award-winning book.

Roundabout
By G.M. Weger
After her mother’s death, Suzanne Jenkins began taking long drives in her forest green SUV. She was used to driving - being a Fish and Game Warden required that - but now she felt the urge to cruise farther, out of her district. It didn’t matter where, just being on the road was a kind of meditation. It was the only way she could cope with the urge to do something. During one of these drives she found her dream, a 1951 Ford truck.
She was six years old when she first saw the poster, There’s a Ford in your future,
in a neighbor’s coffee-table book. The picture of the hands holding a crystal ball showing the future - a smartly dressed couple driving a new truck - had always intrigued her. Was the lady waving hello or goodbye? Why did the man have a silly grin plastered on his face? Where were they
