    Prologue

When women got the right to vote is when it all went downhill. – Rush Limbaugh

Mr. Limbaugh obviously has a problem with women.

Millions of Intelligent educated, independent, successful women that consider themselves feminists and those who don’t. There is no blurring of the lines when it comes to what he thinks about the female gender. He’s extremely vocal. Women, who believe in political, economic, social rights, are pro-choice and those that are particularly vocal or strong willed are categorized as ‘feminazis’.

Mr. Limbaugh equates powerful women with militancy and extremism and pulls in the Nazi reference that has nothing to do with his false assertions for controversy and sensationalism. I believe it is code for he and his dittoheads for what they really mean and want to say, ‘aggressive bitches’. Mr. Limbaugh won’t say that on air but I would imagine he’s probably said it numerous times in safe company. Considering what comes out of his mouth while on air, I’m sure his language is very colorful indeed when he speaks in private.

In 2004, Mr. Limbaugh named feminist activists Gloria Steinem, Susan Sarandon, Christine Lahti, and Camryn Manheim as famous feminazis. All talented, successful, intelligent women…I rest my case.

America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves Abraham Lincoln-Republican

Mr. Limbaugh, a well-known perpetuator of lies, spreader of hate, mentor of fear, and a visceral purveyor of incivility on the national stage and who is personally responsible for sending our national discourse over the cliff. He has turned civility into a negative and vulgar into the norm. Civil societies do not behave like this.

I’d managed to ignore him most of my life. I’d hear the outrageous things he would say and blow it off since I couldn’t fathom someone of this caliber ever capable of having much influence over the calmer heads in this nation, let alone be popular but I could no longer ignore him after he said, ‘I hope Obama fails’, my heart sank first and then I got mad. I wanted to know what was the attraction to this nasty piece of work?

From what I understand, Rush Limbaugh, the man who calls himself an American loving patriot, didn’t register to vote until he was 35 and even though he refers to Reagan as his greatest influence, which I don’t believe for a second since he wasn’t influenced enough to bother with registering or voting.

I could write a lot of nasty things about Mr. Limbaugh but I don’t need to lower myself to his level and I’d like to raise the bar on our national discourse. I’d like to bring politeness, courtesy and manners back into the public’s dialogue and encourage positive steps towards curing what ails us. The rotting core of a very vocal minority whom is hell bent on destroying what America is made of…the rest of us.

Mr. Limbaugh’s record speaks for itself. His knack at deliberately parsing partial comments out of context and unleashing his opinion as fact is well known. The multiple allegations leveled against him embolden him in letting his political bias distort the truth. His influence is well within the boundaries of America but his ignominious opinion is not.

Mr. Limbaugh was or allegedly still is a drug addict. As with all those that feel they are somehow above the rest of us, he said in 1995 that drug users, ought to be accused and they ought to be convicted and they ought to be sent up. And too many whites are getting away with drug use. This from the man whom admitted his own Oxycontin addiction in 2003. He went to Rehab and went straight back to the microphone. He did not have to suffer the punishment he verbosely suggested for others. In 2006 he plead not guilty but paid $30,000 for ‘doctor shopping’ to obtain OxyContin illegally then again that same year when returning from the Dominican Republic was detained by Palm Beach drug enforcement agents when they found a prescription bottle of Viagra not in his name. In 2009 he was arrested again for receiving a couple thousand-pain killers from numerous doctors in a 6 month time period. Mr. Limbaugh got off light unlike what he wants for other drug users.

From what I’ve read, he allegedly dropped out of college due to his poor performance and although he has a family full of attorneys he comes off as anti-intellectual, maybe it’s all for show. He goes to the Dominican Republic for what many men go there for while he castigates women for the right to birth control, reportedly a prolific Viagra user and yet has no children after four marriages. Maybe the old boy is just shooting blank bullets…I don’t know, but he calls himself a passionate believer in family values yet at 60 something years of age, with all his millions he could adopt tens of hundreds of kids and give them the good life. Why does Mr. Limbaugh hate kids so much?

Presumably he avoided Vietnam because he had a boil on his ass. Some people refer to him as a ‘chicken hawk’ after a dust up when he ostensibly called anyone who is or was a soldier and against the Iraq war a phony soldier further muddying the waters as to this man’s national popularity. Who could admire a guy like this?

What did become crystal clear, in all his trumped up righteousness is that he is nothing more than a phony. The phony was exposed when he was bleeding advertisers after he slandered Sandra Fluke. A man, who is known for not backing down, half-heartedly apologized, not because he meant it, he apologized for the money. Period. Mr. Limbaugh holds no loyalty to his dittoheads, or his country or his party of alleged choice; his sole devotion is to himself and his money.

I just can’t relate to the dittoheads worshiping the ground he walks on and how they revere him. He has taken full advantage of a trusting audience all for the money. I don’t think there is any great belief Mr. Limbaugh holds dearly other than the almighty dollar.

Mr. Limbaugh must have realized that his easy life of sitting behind a microphone spewing lies for fast cash was in jeopardy. Money that enabled him to live his dream come true, polarize the nation, be a partisan hack and wish the President of the United States of America failure and getting away with it, better yet, making tons of cash to boot.

Where do we draw the line? Will it get to a point where people will accost each other with derogatory language while doing the simplest of transactions? Heterosexuals only line at the grocery store anyone? Is denigration the next acceptable form of free speech in our society? I hope I am dead before we hit the caveman era.

Their fearless leader’s opportunistic exploitation of people’s bias and getting filthy rich doing so was at risk. Even more at stake, Mr. Limbaugh’s most likely cherished national pastime, feeling superior.

The master troll, the peddler of hate was under threat of losing his bestseller and biggest moneymaker, hatred. The man, an equal opportunity hater, who loves to hate and who hates pretty much everyone on earth except his listener base of angry white male dinosaurs, Mr. Limbaugh had to do the unthinkable. Apologize.

I don’t hate anyone, even Mr. Limbaugh, though he is the most deserving person of his own making and I have derived great pleasure in imagining his utter distress when he realized the only way to save himself was to apologize. It must have been as close to torture as he’ll ever get.

There is no doubt that Mr. Limbaugh is good at what he does. He has been able to lower the bar of political discourse in this country and advocate successfully the acceptance of vilifying the highest office, fellow American citizens and our country as a whole. The insurmountable price paid for such incivility undermines our collective success and destroys any sense of unity an underlying ingredient required to succeed. A higher price is paid to the detriment of words that lose their true meaning through overuse, redefinition and illogical inference.

Thus, the Limbaugh’s, Palin’s, Coulter’s, Bachmann’s, the crowd I refer to as the ‘dog whistlers’ of the world have managed to drag the dialogue in this country to an undignified level. There are many similarities with people like this; it’s their MO, they enjoy the thrill of controversy, brewing hatred, dividing our nation bringing us all down to a level of indignity and shamefulness that is beneath the people of the United States. We are better than this.

Those who call President Obama a Marxist, communist, socialist, Nazi, secret Muslim Kenyon anti-Christ out to take your religious freedom and guns away, have been encouraged to repeat the misuse of these words derived from talking points conjured up by entities like Mr. Limbaugh to incite their fear and give credence to their argument regardless of the misinterpretation that results.

This is nothing more than pure propaganda to incite hatred on our president and on the groups whom pose the greatest threat to their ideology, women, gays, minorities and the young. They have succeeded at assigning their own definitions to advance their cause. Here we are in 2012 and the president of these Unites States is treated no better than if it was 1960's Alabama. When one of these clowns uses the revolting language on a white president that they have reserved for Obama and other targeted Americans, I'll believe they harbor no bigotry.

The standard response from the defenders is Bush was treated poorly, but in my several decades on earth I have never witnessed the complete lack of respect for the highest office in our country. It isn’t just citizens who have brought disrespect to the office of the president, government leaders who should know better, people who should be setting an example have joined in the chorus like Joe Wilson yelling out you lie in a state of the union address defiling the leader of the free world. I am furious and embarrassed at the blatant disrespect shown to our president and the undignified treatment from the Republicans and how we look as a nation with guys like Wilson and what it says about us as a nation.

When Bush was in office it was treason to criticize the president during wartime, but that hasn’t stopped the haters during Obama’s term and they have said and done much worse. For years this double standard that Republicans have enjoyed has gone way past its shelf life.

So if these people who cannot be adults and treat our president and their fellow Americans with respect, I in solidarity with the president and the groups being targeted, have decided to own Mr. Limbaugh’s label of feminazi since in reality his deformed accusations and criticism come from a private vocabulary with a singular meaning to him and his dittoheads and has nothing to do with the intended message of ‘you’re not like us’.

If I as an American woman want equal political, social and economic rights and politicians and religion out of my vagina means I am a feminazi, I wear it as a badge of honor.

Mr. Limbaugh has fetishized the pain of people’s emotions. He enjoys their suffering. He relishes the rambling he’ll throw on his target du jour and excitedly awaits the power of his offensive words as they ripple through the intended ears, savoring the calculated damage and celebrating his success of destroying a few more lives each day.

Mr. Limbaugh’s attack on woman is cast as being slick with metaphors, key words that to me makes him sound like an ignorant American. He pushes buttons, effortlessly criticizing, insulting, and spewing brutal and spiteful allegations. The attention is what gets him off. His anti-everything thuggery is a view to his soul and to the souls of those who validate him and embolden him to continue his vile rhetoric.

While the party of white men endorse the use of derogatory words to terrify us, slander us, flat out lie to the general public, divisively use words to create havoc and the billionaire bank rolls to propagate their propaganda will attain their goal to keep the white man’s party in control, I am ready to vote straight down the ticket for the removal of their hands from the throat of America.

There are millions of Americans who can legally register to vote who haven’t. There are enough to turn red states blue. We can’t let America’s voices not be heard. All Americans should shun voter intimidation. The widespread culling of legal voters off the rolls in several states should be unacceptable to Americans. It is of national importance that everyone participates in our democracy, especially this year when everything is on the line. It is our civic duty to vote. It is a right that everyone should exercise. If we lose the right to vote, we all lose everything.

The media is only interested in bread and circuses and they are not going to call out the dog whistlers and tale spinners on their absurd and outlandish statements and verifiable lies then we need to. I’m starting by calling out Mr. Limbaugh’s crude categorizing of women is an insult, and his label ‘feminazi’ is pitiable at best, disrespectful at worst, nothing more than a weak and meaningless retort from a man with the maturity of an 8th grader.

I have complete respect for the tragedy that was the holocaust. I am in no way making light of what happened. This despicable man is being disrespectful of the millions who were the victims by equating their horror to women looking for fairness. I in no way want anyone to construe that this is anything but a play on words as I am determined to stand up for all the women in this world who have been the victims of some men’s disrespect and perpetual degradation. I am going to take this word and make it what it is, nothing more than a nasty man’s adolescent reaction to his fear and hatred of woman for voicing ourselves and wanting our equality and independence.

Since they have blatantly misused and have labeled people unfairly, I in solidarity with the numerous lies spewed by the right that have mislabeled people unfairly and without any proof have found the humor in these crazy statements that flow and made legitimate in the media on a daily basis. They couldn’t want to be taken seriously and they shouldn’t be. They are like elementary aged school children bullying and taunting people with their miss-found conjecture. They are the laughing stock of the world and the United States and independent thinking people such as myself have had enough of their incivility, inability to compromise, their refusal to debate the issues and work together to help this country. I am tired of the adolescent pranks and their schoolyard bully banter when they don’t get their way. No matter how much compromise is afforded it is never enough. I can hear the desperation in their rhetoric to be relevant. The party of NO has kept this country hostage long enough. We are all Americans and their constant insult to their claim that they are more American than the rest of us demeans our country, is a flat out lie and un-American.

Are we going to let a bunch of stout, timeworn, hair receding, billionaire white guys tell us what we’ll eat, think, see and hear forever? We’re all in this together. The courtesy of speaking civilly is one we adopt because we choose to. The first amendment wasn’t written to guarantee Rush Limbaugh’s free speech to call Sandra Fluke a slut and prostitute. It wasn’t written to support the non-stop undignified, filthy smear jobs proliferated from the right. This was not the intention of our forefathers. It’s a mockery of everything they envisioned. A government of the people, for the people is being suffocated.
