About this ebook

Izzy flees to the countryside to make a new start, away from her fickle fiancé, the interfering ghost of her dead father and his sex-hungry mistress. Not only do all three follow her and shatter her peace, but she's also joined by Jodie, her annoying younger sister, and her mother going through a startling life change. The serene village of Hanningdon is about to become very busy indeed.

But Izzy makes a discovery to put all this into the shade. A beautiful and disturbed young man living in the oak tree outside her window. A treeman with a mysterious gift and an even more mysterious past. And a brother who makes everything much more complicated.

The influence of their late Romany grandmother, Mari, still holds strong over the two brothers and over Hanningdon itself. And Izzy seems to be the key to unlock their secrets, their hearts and the magic of Mari.

Funny and compelling, the story of Izzy and The Treeman introduces a host of outrageous characters. An intriguing romance, with a dash of danger and gypsy magic.

The first novel in the Hanningdon Magic Series.

Author

Kaye Vincent

Kaye Vincent wanted to be an author from the age of eleven, inspired by a wide span of books, the film Spartacus and a need to tell stories. She took a long route through a varied career, mainly in documentation and training, before writing for theatre. Kaye wrote musicals with her collaborator, the composer Kaye Tompkins, for over 10 years and earned representation through The Sharland Organisation. Kaye V returned to the world of book fiction in 2010, but the publishing arena had changed. She decided in 2012 to learn how to self-publish and has had the most fulfilling experience seeing her work go to print and into e-book platforms: "It's hard work, emotionally testing and technical, but my word - how empowering! Keep going all my fellow authors, I'm proud to stand with you. And to my fellow readers...I hope you're having as much fun as I am discovering the new wealth of fiction that indie-publishing has made available. Exciting times."
