"WE’VE FINALLY FINISHED THAT DAMN PAPERWORK!" The three guys sitting at my table cheered. They tapped their glasses together in a toast, and drank the stress of the work day away in their favorite bar, run by a guy named Mac.

I rolled my eyes, downing a glass of water. Unlike these three I preferred to save money, and opted to remain the designated driver instead. Call me crazy, but I liked my liver working.

Still, I couldn’t help but sigh. Don’t you three think you’re over exaggerating?

You’re lucky when it comes to work, Mark. James ran his hands through his dark hair. All you do is sit on a computer all day and type on a keyboard.

I set my glass on the table and rubbed at my forehead. Being a writer is not easy. I just got lucky and planned ahead; I barely make enough every month to save away while living with Sarah.

True. Frank tipped his glass to me. He might have us beaten in the job field, but we’ve all got him beaten in the women department.

Okay, that caught my interest and I stared at them. What the hell does that mean?

Frank, James, and Luke shot each other a look, before James manned up and spoke what was on their collective minds. Mark…Sarah’s a Tomboy of the highest order.

My stare became a glare, while a minor bout of rage bubbled to the surface. She’s not a—

She out drank all of us combined, James cut me off, pointing to a series of portraits that had the winners of the annual drinking contest. Sarah’s on the wall man!

Luke added his opinion. She watches sports more than you do. You hate sports, yet every weekend we’re over there watching the game with her, while you’re shut in your room.

When’s the last time you saw her in a skirt? Frank asked rhetorically. I mean, even that night you met, wasn’t she dressed in a sports jacket and jogging pants?

You cook dinner and wait for her to get home… James decided to come back around for a second shot. You clean, while she lounges around…you’re her bitch dude.

Luke looked at me with a gleam in his eyes. I bet she wears boxers instead of panties.

I tried to keep on a poker face…but there was a reason I didn’t play poker.
