About this ebook
From the outset the United States entered into an unholy alliance with intellectuals from another world, knowing to keep it undisclosed would not only compromise earth resources, but demonstrated the ruthlessness of one nation to dominate all others. Thus, the aliens were circuitously presented with a unique means to evolve Homo sapiens into exotic superus, incorporating the best features of both species. Trading human beings for advanced sciences appeared a straightforward arrangement, until Evergreen, the covert USA agency, demanded more and threatened to exterminate its partners if they failed to deliver an antigravity device. Knowing that such a transfer would jeopardize their limited technological supremacy; the aliens faked the second coming of Christ and unknowingly transformed the earth into a peaceful world wherein the Eleventh Commandments was presented as universal law. Whether Evergreen would tolerate such an undertaking becomes the issue?

Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you kill the prophets
and stoned the messengers God has sent you.
So spoke Jesus of this place according to the
New Testament before he himself would be
tried here and condemned to death.
For thirty-four days and nights the rains fell. Convulsing thunder and lighting evoked ominous premonitions that were temporarily overshadowed by the hardship of physical survival. Nevertheless, a meaningful dividend was the lack of hostilities between Arabs and Jews – a common bond to fight the nature’s wrath gave the populace more to cherish than killing neighbors over religious persuasions, or the seeking of political freedom for phantom ideals.
Minor streams became into raging rivers; landsides so prevalent, entire communities were instantly buried, killing thousands of people and destroy more property than had been bombed to oblivion by fifty years of aggression. Nothing was sacred: Churches, mosques, synagogues, national shrines, global treasures, military installations were reduced to neglected statistics.
Initially, worldwide aid was slow in coming until the full impact of the disaster became a nightly occurrence on BBC and CNN. During a recent broadcast a massive mudslide occurred on the eastern heights that bordered Jerusalem at the Dome of the Ascension, and buried an elementary school complex killing all 4700 occupants. Awesome images and apocalyptic commentaries described strange, purple and yellow lightning bolts so intense the night turned brighter than the sun. And then it happened; the mountain crumbled.
The mental imagery of the viewing audience reached frenzied speculation when Orville Jones, a well-known T.V. evangelist proclaimed. In Zechariah, Hebrew Scriptures say that the end will come on the Mount of Olives when it splits in half and Jesus sets foot on the Earth again. Pray – save yourself. Jesus Christ has given us His sign; He is coming. He is surely coming! Be prepared! … Again, I remind you, send what you can today. Don’t wait! And I will pave the way and say a good word on your behalf. God is watching you. Yes, let us all pray. Your money is worthless in times that this. Sent it to me and save yourself.
The last sentence was whispered with a bright teeth smile.
As the camera panned to the four singing Starling Sisters, the portly evangelist confidentially ambled from the stage. This will bring in a million big ones, I guarantee it!
Jones muttered to his aid, Maureen Nelson.
She merely shook her head, and presented him with the daily receipt totals.
See, what did I say; I assume you looked at this?
Yes,
said the comely Miss Nelson. A recent employee of the famous preacher, she only took the job for T.V. production experience and to beef-up her resume. Tolerating Jones became a tuff act to work with, unless … She repeated the word in her thoughts. Forget the claim of a devoted family man with a loving wife and five young children that he paraded on his daily broadcast like stage props. He was a walking snake who believed what was in his pants should be shared with every woman.
Well?
"What if He doesn’t show up?"
Jones shrugged his shoulders. I’ll worry about that later. For now, it’s a sure-fire seller. Let that hill of mud shake, rattle and roll. The more action the more money to finance the will of God!
He laughed. Why don’t we make a night of it and celebrate? I’m itching to share this with you.
He grabbed his crotch and smiles.
I suggest you go home to your wife. She needs you more that I do!
"Your attitude; don’t you find me attractive?"
Starling Sister completed their songs, which signaled his return to the camera. After taking a few steps toward the stage, Jones turned and sneered. I want the right answer or look for another job! Service this, and we’ll both be happy.
He again fondled his joint.
Smiling into the camera, he said. Let us pray! We are all God’s children and must embrace His word …
From off-stage, she pondered the offer. Why not? I fucked much less and got nothing.
The revelation of the T.V. evangelist spawned a measured influx into Jerusalem. Initially, the fanatical fringe made the tour, but as more and more crusaders arrived, Israeli officials begun to take strategic notice. Reduction of social services, and annoyed military redirected to provide disaster aid from flood and landslide victims had no affect to stop the migration. Taking their positions at or near the Mount of Olives, pilgrims were oblivious to all conditions, except to pray and wander about like lost ferrets.
Six days later from the bowels of Mount of Olives a lone figure dressed in flowing white and blue robes ascended from a mist thicker than a wall of white chalk. While the serene image stepped forward, they moved back and fell to the ground, others cried for joy. Their collective chants intensified and resonated with the power of a colossal wave crashing against a rocky shore.
Somewhere above them a voice, deep and comforting floated down like a dove, continued the phrase from Matthew: This is my son, beloved.
The image disappeared.
Was the person in the white and blue robes real, or a magnification of lighting, possibly the churning of rain on the wind or wishful thinking? Whatever the cause, Jerusalem was never the same. Overwhelmed by hearsay, the Holy City became the gateway to paradise as scores of evangelical Christians flocked to it, only to find no place to stay. From Bethany to the Mount of Olives, they knelt in the rain and prayed. The scene was improbable with every square inch occupied by hordes of people for a distance of three miles.
Proclaimed by the Bible, Jesus Christ mediated and ascended to heaven from the Mount of Olives. Convinced that his return was prophesied and his image was a prelude, they desired to witness the end of time from a front row seat. Pilgrims purchased one-way tickets to Israel, believing that the Lord personally called them. They whispered his name, knowing that the Messianic Redeemer would show them the way.
From a newsroom in New York City, Allen Jonas was recording his notes for a planned documentary.
"… Apparently, the prophets got it right when claiming that 1000 years was like a day for the Lord. The Old Testament told of time on Earth begun with Adam and Eve in the year 4000 B.C. and the end game was near. Thus, the present millennium may witness the second coming and herald an era when Jesus Christ will reign for one thousand years.
"Evangelical Christians believed the founding of Israel in 1948 and the capture of the West Bank during the ensuing Six Day War of 1967 were the clearest indications that the end of chaos was near. The consolidation of the West Bank by Israel placed control of Jerusalem into the collective hands of the various religious factions and set the stage for the His footprints to again touch the Earth.
"Each week thousands more witnessed the vision. Are the events of prophecy able to take a bold step toward reality?
"Although mainstream Christians risked embarrassment to predict a date for the second coming, the daring thousands led the vanguard to personally witness Jesus Christ speaks the word of God.
"Today Jerusalem is no longer a flashpoint for tension among Jews, Muslims and Christians. The prospects of Christians proselytizing among Jews and Muslims worried the Israel government, who incorrectly predicted that ‘heavenly hallucinations would have hellish repercussions.’ The sheer number of pilgrims compromised the country’s security, but nothing could be done to stop the influx. With a logistical nightmare on its hands when hordes of Christians camped out upon and near the Mount of Olives, the military remained on full alert, but did nothing. Still predicting hostilities, the Israeli government successfully petitioned the United Nations for assistance. It seemed that the entire world was preparing to embrace Jesus Christ.
"One and all held the same expectations, whether in the foothills or the plains surrounding the Dome of the Ascension, that the Lord was about to announce the final solution. Three hundred thousand strong earnestly waited for a sign, but still nothing happened. The crowds became restless. With each passing day the initial specter seemed more a mystery, perhaps an act of nature, a freak occurrence of the weather? Can it be the Jesus Christ they saw in the mist was an apparition?
"The Israelis commissioned geologists with helicopters to survey the site, and determine the cause of what split the terrain. Armed troops and civil engineers inspected ever inch; nothing was found to explain the phenomenon, other than the torrential rains.
"The Holy City had been leveled many times, smashed by her enemies, encircled by hatred, laid waste, torn-down stone by stone, reduced to rubble. Abandoned and forsaken, Jerusalem had been the site of massacres and terrorism. Her citizens, young and old, have been tortured, slaughtered or carted off into captivity. Her temples desecrated; her holy scrolls burned along with priests, prophets, rabbis and judges. In this Holy City wars have been waged in the name of religion, and zealous warriors who blasphemed against the love of God with their cruelty. ‘Alas, Jerusalem, how your stones have cried out in anguish.’
"Jerusalem – the symbol of God’s presence among us – survived; gave pain and comfort for all to keep; for all who have been oppressed, for all who long for a new order of justice. In the person of Jesus, the reign of God has broken through the City’s fortifications.
"Then on the fortieth day when the rains ended and the lightning ceased, the figure in white and blue robes reappeared. The masses circled among Him and many called him God. ‘This is where my throne shall be. Here I will dwell forever.’ When He spoke, they screamed in wild jubilation. The sound so powerful, it compared to a hundred whirling tornados.
"Ezekiel’s vision of the Lord coming to take possession of his temple in Jerusalem was certainly magnificent. Yet what had transpired 72 hours ago and the events that followed were pale by comparison. The covenant with Abraham and all that God did among his chosen people were mere prophetic promises, sealed in His Son’s blood. Now, the person before them, a visual presence, magnificent in His simplicity, spoke with a clarity that was easily understood. ‘I am what I am, the Living Symbol.’ Slowly he turned, arms outstretched. The crowd focused on him alone. Silent tears flowed from their eyes; all were in awe.
"‘Loving God, in the Book of Proverbs you command me. Speak up for people who cannot speak for themselves. Protect the rights of those who are helpless. I offer myself to protect the many in need. I give you my body that it may be chaste. I give you my heart that I may always love you. Loving Symbol make my people be strong where they are weak, faithful where they are lukewarm, bold where they timid and courageous where they are hesitant and cowardly …’
"As he continued to speak a temperate mist fell from the sky which rapidly became a heavy downpour. He looked into the darkened sky, extending his arms while slowly moving his pointed finger to make an imaginary line around the farthest reaches of the crowd. When the task was completed, the rain stopped within the circle of people, while the rain continued outside the boundary with a fury and intensity rarely witnessed.
"All this and much more were seen and recorded. The healing of the sick, the miracles and the loving nature of the words made many accept as true that Jesus Christ was among them. ‘I have come to set the Earth on fire, and how I wish it were already blazing.’ He originally spoke these words from Luke and as before they were afraid. At length, he explained that fire referred to His death on the cross. His baptism of fire, but also expressed his desire to transform the face of the Earth. ‘The end is near.’ He continually repeated. What that meant in human terms was unknown?
"Seen in the context of these warnings, the people were frightened, yet ready to follow. Such words were filled with urgency to set forth communion with God as the most certain fact of man’s experience; and that straightforward reality made him accessible to everyone ‘The sleeping must wake up; the uncommitted must finally name what they believe in; those obsessed with possessions must turn to God for security. Now is the time for taking a stand. No longer is it right to simply follow the example of one’s parents, siblings or spouses. No longer is it necessary to rely on the state for authority or seek answers only from the religious establishments. Our own hearts must direct us. There is no time to waste; the fire is almost upon us.’
"Naturally, these words were repeated within the milieu of the Great Healer, whose miracles defied description. Broadcasted around the world, he clearly upset the established order. Nevertheless, nothing the world leaders did or said discouraged the masses. Jerusalem was a city under grateful siege, as more and more people arrived. Even when the borders of Israel were closed, they found a way, forsaking all obstacles, except to be near the Holy Man. ‘We seek Emmanuel,’ they chanted.
"The enormous congregation at the Mount of Olives and Kidron Valley did not required food or drink, nor performed bodily duties. They merely breathed the air and glowed with nourishment from the essence of God.
"With his coming, Jesus represented an intimate and unique presence, while his abiding spirit sought to interpose each and every circumstance, offering love, healing and comfort. Jesus was not absent, even from every horror, never endorsing it, but suffering the greatest grief that failed humanity, although keeping the possibility of redemption open. Always present and vigilant, he gave the believers a glimpse of eternal joy and peace. He used parable after parable to establish its meaning. ‘It is a seed cast into the ground which grows and prospers. ‘It is seed sown in good ground and bringing forth fruit, or in bad ground and fruitless. ‘It is a pearl of great price for which a man should sell all that he possesses.
"Jesus said, ‘One came never be without God, though many were unaware, ungrateful and unbelieving.’ Reciting Psalm 139:7, He continued, ‘Where can I go from your spirit, from your presence? Where can I flee?’ Now the world will be witness to the true answers. He challenged the multitudes to flee, whether Christians, Jews, Muslims or other religious factions, if not believers in the Word of God. Non-believers became followers. ‘God is with us, Matthew 1:23 wrote of Emmanuel. His name was shouted, praised and acclaimed to be the one true power.’
"With his presence on Earth, humanity for the first time since Adam and Eve, after they were expelled from Eden, had a direction: A roadmap to eternal salvation. ‘God indeed is my savior; I am confident and unafraid, wrote Isaiah 12:2. Self-aggrandizement born from ego becomes secondary; spiritual awareness yields a quiet assurance that is virtue, rather than vice.’ This kind of assurance transformed the Earth, moving its citizens calmly to place their destiny into God’s hands, and to live as people of hope, rather than fear. They were confident, not because of who they were, but because of who God is in relationship to them – ‘This is our Savior,’ they shouted.
The mystery of salvation removed their worries and redeemed their sense of unworthiness. God found them worth the trouble of salvation: more lovable than his deepest hopes, and absolutely capable of fulfilling their mission on Earth. Fearless self-belief inspired in them remained a testimony to God’s power, wisdom and redemptive presence in their lives.
As Allen Jonas shutoff the recorder, a peculiar richness filled his being as if God was looking over his shoulder.
Chapter Two
Within three years Jesus turned values upside down. He effectively spoke spiritual verses from the prophets, and more depth than his first coming. By teaching the supreme love of God and a love for the fellowman, he embraced a universal truth: God’s continual presence, His fatherly love, His transcendent righteousness, His mercy, His goodness; all were the facts of immediate experience; not by abstract logic, but in the reality of consciousness to the certainty of God. When these truths were explained and demonstrated with miracles – divine love and forgiveness, and the necessity to attain salvation from being delivered from sin, fear and death – gave him a universal audience with few detractors.
The riffraff of society and the political elite had no safe harbor. World leaders lost their impact and reluctantly stepped aside. As for nationality or status, it would not grant entrance into God’s reign. He declared many times. Only inner truth marks the way to God’s heart.
His words turned on meanings so honest that the old patterns of thinking, acting and being no longer had validity. What was definite must no longer be trusted. What was inconceivable must be passionately hoped for. And what was impossible must be dreamed into reality. All was achievable because Jesus was among them. "I am what I am, the Living Symbol. For behold, some are last who will be first and some are first who will be last."
Now in the millions, believers and the other kind gathered on the foothills at the Mount of Olives. For miles on end, the human tapestry held their collective future in suspension while each new miracle unfolded to challenge reality. The supernatural events marked the best the Earth can be and infused with the oneness of God.
Jesus … Jesus!
They continually shouted.
What’s in the name?
All the grace of God, all the wonder of redemption, all that they believed, and all that they were hoping for. They said it; they cried it; adoration filled their soul. They anticipated the indiscernible glory of these days when every knee knelt and every tongue, by glad choice or by divine constraint, praised that highest and holiest of all names – Jesus! Jesus!
Broadcasted globally via a satellite link from Mount of Olives, the entire world watched and listened. At the site the atmosphere was electric with anticipation as a thousand voices lifted their hearts in song. Let us pray to the glory of God. … Let us pray to the glory of God. … To see all that He has done, to hear through the power of His words. … All glory is yours oh Mighty Father. …
When the figure in the white and blue robe suddenly appeared with his arms raised, the hymn stopped. At first, the pilgrims did not see Jesus, but when they did, shouted his name. Jesus, Jesus, Jesus,
the chant continued unabated until above his arms a column of howling flames stretched into the clouds. Violently drawing air from the ground into the intense heat caused the brethren near Him to be pulled into the pyre. Screaming to be saved, they were swept into the inferno and instantly consumed. As the whirling sound of air and crackling blaze continued, many pilgrims ran away, cursing profanities in the name of Jesus.
When lowering His arms, the column of fire instantly disappeared. Jesus said. With all that has been witnessed, you are still lambs lost in the woods.
Not even the wind rustled; not a bird sang, nor a voice or a cough.
Drawing from Matthew 28, He said, All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Why should this be so?
They were afraid and stepped further back.
A single person nervously moved forward to the mount of dirt that Jesus used as his platform. The young man wore brown cotton pants with a leather belt around his waist and a spotted yellow shirt; he had long stringy dark hair and straggly beard, gray eyes, and smallish features. He said in English, What have you done with them? I see no compassion in such acts! Are you savior or the devil?
Cautious murmuring, then a roar became louder and louder until they repeatedly shouted. Are you our savior or devil?
Jesus smiled and nodded to the stranger. At length, the man stepped away and melted into the crowd. Jesus waived him closer. Your name is Wilkins Hawk. Come closer.
Hawk hesitated, then grinned and moved humbly to His side.
"I shall call you John¹ for the last of the great Hebrew prophets. As to your question: they are not harmed. I have proved your doubts. Close your eyes and think of them. Do as I say; they shall return."
One by one the burnt bodies materialize and quickly transformed to their former self. The crowd shouted, fell to the ground and mumbled prays.
To John, He said, Follow me.
John meekly agreed; tears filled his eyes.
Throughout the night, punctuated by dynamic praise and powerful, uplifting music, Jesus presented God’s inner nature, expressed in forgiveness, mercy, righteousness and truth, not from a transcendental perspective, but belonging to reason and the realm of daily life. The words conveyed that man could live with implicit trust in the divine power of love, knowledge and forgiveness.
Pilgrims stepped forward with their personal messages. Each received individual guidance. At length, a woman, old and feeble, in peasant clothing spoke in a weak and sickly voice, and mechanically recited the virtues of Jesus Christ. People everywhere are suffering, but Christ came to deliver and give the blessings of Abraham to all who will believe that Jesus is our source of victory. With Him we can reign and be conquerors over sin, sickness and our circumstances.
Spitting blood, she refused his assistance. She wiped her mouth on her arm sleeve. Now He is with us. O God, I love Jesus so.
She stumbled, and fell to the ground, yet able to drag her body to his sandaled feet; she kissed them.
Come, heaven waits.
The woman rose, not on her own accord, but floated in front of him. A low, indistinct and continuous sound consumed the populace like a brisk wind among stately pine trees. Higher and higher she ascended, until the figure disappeared into the clouds.
While the crowd screeched with praise and astonishment, a husband and wife in bodies worn out and dying slowly approached Jesus, mumbling to be removed from their bondage. The man pushed his wife’s cart, struggling with the pebbles and loose footing. The old woman tried to rise, but her husband placed a gentle hand on her shoulder. He whispered into her ear. God will take us. We have been good Christians.
She smiled and looked into the face of Jesus.
The holy man took the hand of the Alzheimer’s diseased woman. As she closed her eyes, a new peace flowed through her tormented brain and body.
Jesus spoke. In heaven when God looks at you, he sees great potential. He does not care what you look like, your background or your sins. While others may see ugliness, failure or weakness, God sees hope for a beautiful future. Pray diligently; seek the Holy Spirit. Exercising your faith is how I am ability to help you.
The crowd fell to their knees and chanted. We are no longer slaves, but here with God through Jesus.
Words sung in unison, as if the phrase had been printed into their minds. A peace and harmony existed with them, believing to be reborn.
Jesus placed his hands on the husband and wife, and smiled into their faces. Do you wish to rid your bodies of pain?
Yes.
They begged, and slowly accented into the clouds.
The supernatural events confirmed the divine power of God, while a few onlookers discounted the spectacular show as a circus trick. The cynics believed that floating away two sick and dying people had value for only them. Even with the expectations of paradise, most people were afraid to leave Earth. Their reluctance to take the trip up was not a ticket to God, since on Earth they embraced errant behavior as a way of life. Once the Almighty discovered their faults, Hell would be the only path. Such a conclusion prevented many who needed healing to dread the words of Jesus and His miracles because they were too weak to strictly follow the Ten Commandments.
In the world of over eight billion people, substantially more than half did not know who Jesus was. The miracles, healing and the ascensions did little to change world opinion as quickly as Jesus believed. Internet and television broadcasting proved a unique means and usually produced effective results, but sometimes the commentaries were not favorable.
Many professional religious organizations felt threatened by the holy man’s teachings, concerned that they would lose a considerable portion of their followers, thus reducing income from contributions and offerings. Jesus attempted to avoid confrontations with these groups and when opposed, praised their fine work because all religions must embrace God’s law as delivered by Moses and housed in the Ark of the Covenant.2
When challenged, Jesus would say: I seek no gifts or contributions, God and your place of worship do not money, only your fear of God.
Such words annoyed the moneychangers who used religion to build empires instead of rewarding their followers. One cannot buy faith by a cash donation. Do not come to repent to escape the judgment because you are sorry for your sins. No, real repentance comes from the heart. You must turn around and be transformed from your heart.
This simple statement caused His attackers to mend their ways and stopped questioning the Holy Man’s motives.
A group of Islamic leaders stepped forward. They had quietly and patiently listened to the words spoke by the little man in the white and blue robes. Zaki Karah, a distinguished Muslim chieftain from Nawabshah, Pakistan, in a beige turban and flowing garments and cap, spoken for the group in a sincere voice. In the Koran the unity of God emphasized against the mistaken conception of the Christian Trinity, and the divine nature is expounded under power, unity and goodness.
His brown eyes sparkled with pride. Stroking his white beard, he desired not to challenge the Holy Man, but to understand his motives. "God has revealed himself to man through prophets, are you one spoken of in the injil?"
"Yes! Moses possessed the taurat, while Mohammed the Koran. Jesus solemnly included.
I am what I am."
Do you believe that Mohammed is the seal of the prophets?
Jesus nodded. The last of the prophets.
As like many Muslims, Karah was not resisted, nor reject what was personally witnessed. According to Islamic teachings, he offered, Jesus Christ was a prophet.
Jesus moved closer to the Muslim leader, open the scriptures and placed the Great Book before him.
I cannot touch the word of God,
Zaki Karah cried. I’m not ceremonially clean. I know of this Christian Bible, but Muslims do not believe of it as truly the word of God. I do not know why I have suddenly referred to it as such?
"Do you believe that I am the prophet? Jesus asked.
I do.
Karah heard himself say the words without knowing why.
Allow yourself to hear the true word of God.
When Karah did not object, Jesus continued. In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God, and the word was God.

Jesus was still standing in front of Karah. A smile, expressing love and happiness, filled his face.
What have I done?
Karah asked.

Karah anxiously pushed up to his knees. What have you done to me?
