About this ebook
Does the names Thor, Odin or Loke mean anything to you? Maybe you ́ve heard them mentioned in a TV-series or a movie? In Asgard Saga you get to know the Aseir gods a little better. This first part of the series is focused on Odin as the creator of the world.

When I was a kid, about 8 yrs. old or so, I would lend at least 25 books at the school library for my summer break. At first my teachers shook their heads in disbelief and they were probably thinking to themselves: he is never going to finish all of those books. But coming back after the summer break, I was always able to give them a detailed review of every single book. Some of those books were trilogies such as Isaac Asimovs "Foundation-" series and "Ringworld."I simply love books and though I like watching a movie just as much as everyone else, reading a book really is something else. By reading a book you construct pictures in your own mind instead of being served by a director. But what I love the most about books is the possibility of finding several layers in the book. Things that you cannot find in a movie can be put into a book, because words can be used in such a way that other kinds of meaning appear or disappear.I write about almost everything and anything, but always with my own speciality of "wry and dry" humor, that is, the kind of humor that attacks a subject head on, but still leaves the reader to think about it.I really hope you will enjoy my books...Wishing you a good reading experience,Per Holbo

Foreword
The book, you´re about to read is my interpretation of the old Viking Myth´s. I´ve tried as best I could to keep a balance between being true to the original stories in both their form and story line, but on the other also bring life to the characters in such a way, that it makes sense to us today. I hope, you will find I have succeeded.
Creation
In the very beginning, before any of the things, we see around us, existed. Before the trees began growing in the woods and the birds started singing from their tops. Before Thor and Sif, before Mimer lost his head, even before Odin and Loke blended their blood, there was nothing. Nothing but two realms, as distant from eachother as Midgard from Asgard ten times over.
