Tango Girls

About this ebook
"Nobody realizes that some people expend tremendous energy merely to be normal." Albert Camus (1913 – 1960)
This quotation forms the basis of Tango Girls, the second collection of poetry and essays by Paul Mount. It is an exploration of people -- how they interact, how they are broken, and how they try to fix themselves or hide their damage. Among the characters you'll meet are a girl prone to self-mutilation, a dying woman enjoying one last flirtation, a man drowning in the ocean, and a boy waiting for a father who never appears.
Interspersed throughout is the passion of tango and the powerful emotions the dance can invoke: drama, tension, resolution, joy.
This collection features "Cutter," "Ocho," "The Ghosts of Last Night," "Verdant," and many others.
Paul Mount
Paul Mount grew up in New Jersey, just outside of Philadelphia. He lived for almost a quarter-century in State College, PA, before moving to his beloved Folly Beach, SC.He is a runner and a biker, and has completed a couple of marathons and triathlons. He is also something of a geek, but in the jack-of-all-trades sense, rather than a specific geek genre. He is sweet and charming, usually witty, and presents a lively feast for sand fleas and mosquitoes alike. He is a nice guy, and so according to rule generally finishes last.
