Born and raised in the sleepy town of Sorø, Denmark, I grew up living in my own fantasy worlds. It turned out, however, that most of these places were quite horrible and to control my nightmares and started to write stories in which I conquered the evil. Now I believe my writing has matured to a level, where I would very much love to share what I write. Some is horrible, some violent and some might be disturbing. My primary genres are SciFi and horror but I sometimes run off to other places. My first novella, "One Too Many" is out now, soon to be followed by my first novel, "The Tournament". "One Too Many" is a noir detective story with a twist of something else, while "The Tournament" is SciFi.

‘Beer’. The neon sign above the door tells you all you need to know. It’s the name of the bar and it’s what they serve. I look around while putting out my cigarette and breathe in the cool smell of the evening. It rained half an hour ago which has given the city a much needed cleaner smell. Looking through the windows, I see my normal seat has not yet been occupied, and as a young couple come out the door I slip in before the door closes again. Out of the window I see them turn left to – wherever.

This place is not as noisy as almost all the other bars in the city. Here, conversations are quiet and kept in their respective booths around the room. Actually I don’t remember the last time anybody ever raised their voices or started a fight in here. A good place if you ask me.

The bartender sees and greets me without saying my name. I give him an almost invisible nod and I know he will bring the selected beer of the day to my corner booth in a short moment. In a small glass of course since the beer is not exactly why I am here.

My booth is in a silent and remote corner of the bar which gives me a great view of the room and with the implied benefit that I will be almost invisible over there. Call me paranoid but that is how I like it.

The jukebox finishes the song and selects a new one. Can you believe it? A real jukebox! Okay, with old fashioned compact discs but it is old school anyway. And much cooler than the new systems where you select the song from a touch screen and then they are played from a hard drive instead. A real jukebox, can’t believe it. The song begins and my foot automatically finds the rhythm. I myself would have picked the same song if I wanted to get up.

‘Slow ride, take it easy,’ the lead singer of Fogal cries through the loudspeakers. Just the kind of music I am in the mood for tonight.

The bartender brings me my beer and I thank him as the polite person I am. Tom. I think that’s his name and he’s about the tallest man I’ve ever seen. He’s well over six feet in height and almost the same in width. He has long greasy hair and he hasn’t shaved since yesterday. But okay. Tom always hasn’t shaved since yesterday. How is that even possible?

My wristwatch tells me I have more than an hour before it all starts. More than enough time to enjoy my
