Casey Wilder
The real Casey Wilder is not named Casey at all. Casey is a pen name, created out of a need for privacy and anonymity. I'm the person behind the name and everything else about Casey is all me. I live in the Southern United States with my husband, my children and an odd assortment of smaller creatures that my kids call pets. I've always enjoyed writing and it has become a great form of therapy for me when life is too hectic. The only other effective therapy I've found involves flying down the highway on my motorcycle. Living dangerously seems to have its own appeal. Fast cars, fast bikes and if I could, I'd even learn to fly. I am stubborn, opinionated and frequently short on patience but my friends and my family continue to love me in spite of myself. I'm sure I don't deserve them but I love them. To those of you who've read my work. Thank you. I will admit that I've always been the type to live and die by my own hand so I take full responsibility for both the good and the bad in each piece. I love to hear from readers so please, check out my website. You can email me or post on the blog any questions, comments, complaints, etc. I also frequently post updates on books I've written and some that I've read. Thanks to one of my readers, I finally managed to add a feed where you can subscribe to the blog. An added bonus is you can find out which discounts are currently available. Just so you know, any of my free books will be free for a limited time. Casey

Court appeared to move effortlessly behind the bar at Le Beau Rêve, pouring drinks and pulling bottles of beer, never missing a waiting customer while he studied the crowd around him. It was Friday night and like many of his customers, he was searching for the perfect date. His gaze touched every female figure in sight as he hunted for the right woman. It was strange really, how they always seemed to feel his gaze, their heads turning to meet his eyes. Tonight though, it was just too damned crowded, he couldn’t see half of the people in the bar. He knew there were a lot of women he had yet to see and he had no idea which of the angelic creatures it might be, but he knew as surely as he breathed, that someone here would peak his interest. It was Friday night and Friday night for Court Beaumont was date night. It was also the night of the week that drew in the largest crowd of single women. Of course, he knew he would have plenty of competition because where the single women went, men tended to follow.
Court slid two bottles of beer down the bar to one of his waitresses and let his eyes travel the room again. Most of his customers were dressed to seduce, as they flirted shamelessly with each other, trying to meet that special person that might make them happy for a night or a lifetime. Everyone appeared to be having a hell of a good time, drinking, dancing, and prowling. Court knew there would be a line of women waiting for him to get out from behind the bar, but try as he might, he couldn’t seem to get interested in those pursuing him. Tonight he wanted someone new, someone different, someone he had to work for. Most of the regular clientele knew better than to try and flirt while he was working. They knew he loved his bar and that he believed wholeheartedly in keeping the customers happy. Oh, he would smile and speak to them, give them a wink here and there but he wouldn’t seriously consider any woman while he was working. Playtime came after work. They also knew that he played as hard as he worked and that he wouldn’t be looking for a woman to spend his life with. Of course, that didn’t really seem to bother them. Oh, he’d ended up
