About this ebook

Excerpts: "If you feel you are here to do something--not for the individual man but for the collective mankind, so that the suffering in this relative plane will be, if not erased fully, at least a little less when you leave--if you feel this inner call, I am talking to you." So begin Sri Atmananda's words in Manifesting Divine, a collection of 21 revelatory yogic interactions based on the wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita. From the opening chapter, "Never Has Mankind Faced Such a Challenge," to later ones like "America Holds the Key" and "Carry the Flame of Truth," this book speaks to the psychic, or spiritual, component of the reader's human system. This is the message of the transition, the message of preparation for a spiritual manifestation. To quote from within: "Just as a few scientists working in a laboratory bring the solution that benefits the whole mankind, so also, let there be a few spiritual scientists who will work in the laboratory of their own consciousness to enable mankind to derive the benefit of mass enlightenment."

Swami Sri Atmananda

Swami Sri Atmananda is the founder of the Satyachetana International Spiritual Movement. Born in Orissa, India, his inner pull toward spirituality began during childhood and intensified as he progressed through higher education and university. The Bhagavad Gita was his constant companion and guide, and through intense contemplation and practice of Gita’s principles he achieved profound spiritual attainment. He also served at the feet of many enlightened masters, perhaps most notably His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, and traveled the length and breadth of India on his spiritual quest. That journey culminated in Pondicherry, where he surrendered to the Divine Mother. She guided him to a cave in the holy mountain Arunachala where he attained the culmination of his sadhana, in 1993. After remaining in the state of pure nirvikalpa samadhi for several days, he regained his awareness and returned to the world carrying the aham brahmosmi (“I am the Brahman”) unity consciousness that enables the yogi to consciously carry the guru shakti.Sri Atmananda’s spiritual work as a master began in 1993. In response to his call for the manifestation of Truth on earth, several non-profit organizations were formed: Divine Mission, established in 1996, serves to guide awakened seekers to the state of highest spiritual realization, while Satyachetana International (SCI), founded in 2001, supports the overall expansion of the Movement and aims to manifest through life the highest truth that has been realized at the individual level. University of Spiritual Research (USR) was founded in 2004 to support and provide spiritual education.Sri Atmananda’s primary residence is Satyachetana Ashram at the foot of Arunachala in Thiruvannamalai, Tamil Nadu, India, and he travels the globe to show mankind the yoga path of the Bhagavad Gita and to revive the pure wisdom that was lost over time.

    Introduction

This book is a selection of extraordinary revelations that transmit a force, an energy, to the reader. It is meant for the reader who is awakening to the fact that there is more to life than just living—even living a good life and doing good things—one who feels something is missing. The answers to the inner quest are to be found in this small book. All the selections are geared toward helping individuals remember why they came to earth at this time, and what to do now that they are here. This is the message of the transition, the message of preparation for a spiritual manifestation. Many will understand the message because they have heard it in their own hearts and their soul is crying for these words to be spoken aloud.

Swami Sri Atmananda’s revelations are never directed toward the mind in man. Rather, they are aimed at the psychic. Because they are revelations, the content will require deep contemplation to do them justice. The concepts are new and difficult. Words have a unique connotation and a deeper meaning so that each word is significant. It will take some time for these new ideas to enter into the system of the reader, because the mind will not be able to grasp all that is being said and may resist and revolt. A second or third reading may be required.

The book is divided into three parts: the movement and the mission in general; the Bhagavad Gita, which is the underlying scripture from which nearly all the revelations have come; and the path, which begins to show how the wisdom of Gita can be incorporated into the work for the movement and the mission.

Most of the individual interactions have been greatly condensed, distilled to the purest essence, so that what is contained in a paragraph, even a sentence or phrase, is often equivalent to an encyclopedia being written on the head of a pin. The significance of a single word choice cannot be overstated. A serious attempt was made to retain the flavor of the original interaction. For this reason, some of Swamiji’s inimitable turns of phrase have been included so that, mostly untouched, the force can penetrate deep within the reader. The force that was transmitted at the time of speaking is all-important, and while it is impossible to reconstruct that in its entirety, it is possible to retain some of it by maintaining the purity of the spoken language as much as possible, including the often creative grammatical structure that contributes to a certain mantric effect. The original phrasing reveals a rhythm through which the meaning is subtly revealed as it flows through the reader, like a river wending its way to the ocean, with its own cadence and melody.

Swamiji refers to these talks as interactions instead of speeches or lectures. Using a common interpretation of the word interaction, the reader might think that this reflects a question and answer session, or a dialogue between seeker and seer. This is not the case. In Swamiji’s view, an interaction goes directly to the psychic without the interference of the mental faculty. These interactions are a unilateral presentation, by and large, from psychic to psychic, soul to soul. He constantly emphasizes that he does not preach and he does not teach. He reveals what is transmitted through his form.

May this book open your heart to your true potential as an embodied being.

Never has Mankind Faced Such a Challenge

    Blessed Divine Souls,

We are here to make a collective decision about our role in changing the consciousness on earth. In every era, mankind passes through a transition that involves a great shift in consciousness. We are presently passing through such a transition. Many highly evolved souls have descended to earth to help during this time of chaos and confusion.

The purpose for this, in one word, is transformation. What is this transformation process? What is the need for it, and how is it going to happen? What I am going to reveal is something you all are aspiring for. A few are experiencing it, but most of you are not understanding this concept.

Today we are experiencing that human life on earth, including civilization and evolution, is in a state of uncertainty. We feel something is not right in society, in the religion we practice, in the values we consider important, in the individual life that we want to build up. This frustrating situation has brought mankind under one umbrella and the questions being asked by all peoples are: Where am I heading? What is the purpose? Where is the clarity? No individual human being, no nation, no particular religion, not industrial proliferation nor the advent of technology or consumerism is singularly responsible for this situation. These are only symptoms. The cause lies much deeper, in the evolution of consciousness.

Consciousness always moves in a cycle. Every phase of history produces its own force and manifests its own values, usually through religion. But we have come to such a stage of evolution that we are going to have a new consciousness, one that will create its own unique civilization and bring a totally new species.

We are facing the pressure of this natural transition when Mother Earth is preparing to welcome the new human species. This pressure has created a fundamental imbalance in every plane of life on earth. If we try to find a solution to this problem through the old modes of religion or science or philosophy we are never going to succeed because that era belongs to the past stages in evolution whereby the problem was in the outer plane of matter. That which has become obsolete must be discarded, and the sooner the better for Man, whether it is a religion or a spiritual path or a technology.

The current problem we face lies within, in our consciousness. We call something a problem when we do not have a solution. If we have a solution but are not able to implement it, we call it a challenge—and a challenge can be overcome. My vision may change Man’s problem to a challenge. Then the problem that is now threatening the evolutionary cycle itself, what to speak of the human race, will find its natural solution.

Everyone on this planet is feeling a dispassion, almost a frustration, a hopelessness, due to one challenge; that is, how to live in peace as an individual member of society or a representative of the human race. Peace is the key to prosperity, progress, emancipation and the highest attainment. Never has mankind in general faced such a challenge. This is a fundamental shift. Now it is no longer an individual problem facing the individual, but a collective problem for which the individual is trying to find the solution.

The root of this problem lies in the evolutionary process itself. If we do not target the source of the problem we will become extinct. Many civilizations have come and gone and are now the subject matter of history. If we can turn our consciousness, we will not only save ourselves, but we can also become collaborators with the supreme force that guides and controls evolution. Evolution is the process through which Mother Prakriti, or Mother Nature, is constantly manifesting higher forms of life, higher levels of awareness and ever new technology. This process has now reached a point of imbalance and Prakriti is now desperately aspiring for the conscious participation of the human species. Since the solution will not come from past knowledge, the present generation must find the way to collaborate with Mother Nature.

Due to the presence of evolved souls who are able to hear this call, there is already a change visible. Man, who is trained to think only in terms of himself, in terms of matter, is now beginning to think in terms of his own spirit. Man is first spirit and then matter, because it is Spirit that wanted
