David A. Yuzuk was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. and has been working in law enforcement as a police officer for the past 14 years in southern Florida. As David Danello, a part-time actor, he has appeared in speaking roles on several television series, among them: Burn Notice, America’s Most Wanted, The Glades, Las Dos Caras de Ana, Dame Chocolate, and several movies: I Love Miami, Miami Vice, and the soon to be released: 5th of a Degree and U.S.S. Seaviper. When asked why he wrote The Legend of the Smiling Chihuahua he answered, “It’s my hope to create something positive and uplifting with my little story. If it can inspire children of all ages to follow their dreams, then who knows how beautiful this world can be.” He is also working on Cities of Sand and Stone which is the pre-quel to The Reluctant Knight Beachside P.D. novel.

Chapter 1
Lucas, Aiden, and Jayden were always together because they were the best of friends and they lived inside the same apartment building.
The boys’ neighborhood, which was once well to do, was now poor and rundown. Their parents struggled to make ends meet and did their best to make their little apartments, happy homes.
The owner of the building, Mr. Rabble, was an angry old man who seemed to care only about money. He was always dressed in a wrinkled black suit, white shirt, and a black food stained tie.
His back was crooked like a withered oak tree and he walked with an old brown cane. He constantly yelled at the people who lived there and told them that they were good for nothings.
He would screech and squawk at the boys that they were lazy because when he was their age he already had two jobs. It appeared to the boys that Mr. Rabble was never happy and probably was like that his whole life.
