It is now the summer of 1926 and our hero, assisted by his loyal staff, divide their time between the City of London and the City of Cambridge.

Following the Derby at Epsom, a body in the Cam, a major art robbery and some very peculiar anonymous postal deliveries, the amateur sleuths are kept busy until they can finally relax at the theatre in Paris.

Between the three main mysteries is woven, the missing officeboy, a kidnapped child and death at a séance. A rich variety of characters appear at the opera, funerals, cricket matches and a nudist colony! And he solves Fermat’s last theorem. Terry Minahan lived from an early age in London then for the last twenty years has resided with his wife Lydia in Newmarket; this suited his work with bloodstock insurance and her work as an artist.He left school at sixteen years of age and went straight to a firm of Lloyds’ Brokers, starting in the accounts department then spent many years wandering around the Underwriting Room as a broker, gathering friends and enemies in consideration of a modest monetary reward.He was always an avid reader of detective fiction along with a love of Shakespeare and Plato, and more recently with a passionate interest in classic and baroque music and the study of music theory, coupled with attempts at playing the clarinet.His first book, The Adventures of Thadeus Burke was published in May 2008, and the Further Adventures a year later; the present effort is another sequel following the antics of the same heroes.
