    Karona Drummond is a certified elementary school teacher. She has taught preschoolers for over 15 years. She spent several years at Texas Woman's University Child Development Center and several years at the University of North Texas Child Development Laboratory. Her publications include "The Running Years," which was chosen for the "Hats Off To Dads" section of the Tejas Storytelling Festival. Her writing includes stories for preschoolers and elementary-aged children and inspirational poetry for adults.

      Summary:Along Came You, is a book for young children about a mother who is happy to have her daughter. It tells of how things were for a mother before she had her daughter and after she had her daughter. Has great illustrations and fun language. Shows the love a mother has for having a child.Personal Reaction:This would be a great book during Mother’s Day. It is for a young audience colorful and can show how being a mother is important for a child to understand.Extension Ideas:1.Make Mother’s Day cards.2.Talk about why being Parents is important to them. Show the emotion of Love and Caring.
