Lead Your Team to Victory! (Yes, You!)

God may be calling you to lead right now! Yes, you! He may have plans for you to someday lead your church, your community, your country. What are you going to do when He calls? Panic? See if He’ll ask someone else? But God won’t accept no for an answer. He’ll expect you to lead.

How will you know what to do? By learning to lead now—in every part of your life. The great thing is that you don’t have to be born a great leader, you can learn to lead. That’s right, leading is a skill. God doesn’t always choose great leaders. He chooses good people whom He makes into great leaders.

You may think, I’m just a kid. Who’ll follow me? With God’s help, you may be surprised who’ll follow you. There have always been young leaders. Look around.

Maybe you think, But why should I want to lead? All it will give me is a headache!

You’re right! There are headaches that come with being a leader. Solving problems can be hard. You’re dealing with arguments, keeping temperamental teammates in line. But there are also high payoffs for those who lead. Among them:

s1 Respect from friends and fellow team members

s1 The satisfaction of a job well done

s1 Possibly being the leader behind a winning team

    s1 Academic and sports awards

s1 The preparedness and possibility of leading others later as an adult

Ultimately, the most respected, most remembered, and most revered people are our leaders. People like Michael Jordan, Kurt Warner, and Sammy Sosa
