- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Written in the mid-90s, this book contributed to shifts in the arguments surrounding gay issues. I gained a valuable appreciation of where the gay rights movement has been compared with where it is now. I also gained insight into the philosophical underpinnings of various attitudes towards homosexuals in civil society. I think this is a great read for just about anyone. It offers a sense of perspective and a very coherent argument for the equality of all people under the law.
