"Sisters of the Quilt--The Complete Trilogy" by Cindy Woodsmall contains the books "When the Heart Cries", "When the Morning Comes", and "When the Soul Mends". Each book details a portion of the life story of Hannah Lapp, a young Amish woman whose life is forever altered by a brutal attack. In "When the Heart Cries", Hannah is only seventeen years old when she faces something no woman should have to face: sexual assault. With her world turned upside down and her faith in question, her pain is compounded by a lack of understanding from her fiance and her own family. Through others, she learns how to deal with such crippling pain and once again finds strength in her faith. In "When the Morning Comes", Hannah must deal with rejection by her family and community. The outside world offers a refuge, and painful truths about her old life become apparent as she starts her life anew. Her struggles to survive in an almost alien world are mirrored in the struggle of her family and friends to deal with the aftermath of her departure. Immediately, after a Hanah gets engaged, tragedy strikes. This triology tells of the struggle of Hanah and her community recovering and healing. Once you start you won't be able to put this book down. Even guys will want to hear what happens next with Hanah. You won't be able to stop until you have read all three books.
