About this ebook
There is—and could only ever be—one Billy Bob Thornton: actor, musician, Academy Award-winning screenwriter, and accidental Hollywood badass. In The Billy Bob Tapes, he leads us into his Cave Full of Ghosts, spinning colorful tales of his modest (to say the least) Southern upbringing, his bizarre phobias (komoda dragons?), his life, his loves (including his marriage to fellow Oscar winner Angelina Jolie), and, of course, his movie career. Best of all, he’s feeding these truly incredible stories and righteous philosophical rants through his close friend, Kinky Friedman—legendary country music star, bestselling author, would-be politician, and all-around bon vivant. Put these two iconoclasts together and you get a star’s story that’s actually an insightful pop culture manifesto—a hybrid offspring of Born Standing Up with Sh*t My Dad Says.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5It's no secret how much I adore Billy Bob Thornton. I think he's brilliant and amazing and incredibly, incredibly hot. When he refers to himself as Quasimodo in his new book "Cave Full of Ghosts", it makes me wonder if he owns a mirror. How Angelina Jolie went from him to Brad Pitt is a mystery to me. What a downgrade. But I digress. "Cave Full of Ghosts" is co-written with Kinky Friedman, whom I also adore. Basically Billy Bob sat down and started telling stories of his life and how he thinks and Kinky recorded it and transcribed it. At any rate, it's fun stuff, seeing into the mind of a genius. I wish there would have been more pictures. That would have made me a happy camper, but it was still pretty awesome :)
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5If you're a fan of Billy Bob Thornton, as I am, then you'll really like this book. If you don't like Thornton, then you're probably not going to like this book. Taken from conversations with Kinky Friedman and then transcribed, it reads just like Billy Bob talks, making the book like having a personal audience with Billy Bob Thornton.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Really enjoyable! I like that besides writing aboout his life and works that he rants, too.
