About this ebook

What's it mean to think team? It means you don't talk team business with anybody who isn't on the team. It means whatever happens inside the team stays inside. It means you can only trust a brother Raider. Any questions?

At Nearmont High School, football stars are treated like royalty, and Matt Rydek has just ascended to the throne. He's got it all: hot girls, chill friends, plenty of juice to make him strong, and a winning team poised to go all the way. If he can keep his eye on the ball now, his future will be set. But when the team turns on one of its own, should Matt play by Raiders rules, or should he go long alone?

Hard-hitting look at the world of high school football. Matt Rydek is a senior and captain of the finals-bound football team. Sure, he does 'juice' but everyone does... what could be wrong with that? When one of his teammates takes a hazing too far, Matt is faced with difficult choices and dire consequences. Mature content.

Raiders Night is a great book to read. The book is about a high school football team that is trying to come back after a losing season and win as the national champions. Their start widen reciever Matt Rydek is the 'big shot'.He has everything he needs. Hot girls, athletic skills, and plenty of steroids to keep his game at its best. But when many team troubles take place, the raiders start plunging downward in a fight to stay a live.I gave this book a 10 because I can relate to it in a couple of ways. Fist of all I play football so all of the action and setting kept me glued to the book. The second thing I can relate to is that I know what it feels like to be really close to a team and what its like to go through team struggles. This author did an such an excellent job by describing the characters that I could vividly form a movie in my head of what the book looked like. I could imagine each and every character individually just because of the precise writing of the author. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is in to sports and is looking for a very interesting book that puts a movie in your head.Blake M.

It seemed true to life, but a sad depiction of the type of experience some kids have in high school. Well written

This small book packed in a lot controversy! I didn't realize how much until I started describing it to the football coach where I work. Steroids, hazing, pressure from parents, girls, teammates, coaches, and a dream to make it in this world beyond high school made this book's hero have to make some tough choices. The characters felt very real to me. Highly recommended for high school athletes.

Matt Rydeck, co-captain of his high school football team, endures a traumatic season as he witnesses the rape of a rookie player by teammates and grapples with his own use of performance-enhancing drugs.
