Enter two homeless men. Gugle, painted red and Twita, painted blue.

Twita: Where do we go from here?

    Gugle: Anywhere, everywhere, nowhere.

Twita: Nowhere sounds like home. But really, does our journey make any sense?

Gugle: Of course, of course. Sometime ago John the Bee was a journeyman too. He travelled into the wilderness with a fine mission, and was rewarded with great quantities of locust and honey. He announced the coming of Jay Cee. For more than 2000 years Jay Cee is still the biggest celebrity around; number one. Always tops the charts. He has even threatened a comeback from retirement to sort out some pretenders. However there is no appointed day for his grand second coming. He will come like a thief in the night. What we are left with is certain uncertainty and uncertain certainty. Keeps everyone guessing, I guess. It’s open ended. Timeless.

Twita: And what will be our gain?

Gugle :Good times will follow us to end times. Let me illustrate. The story goes that Jay Cee at first found no light in a world full of darkness. The world had eyes but could not see, ears that did not hear, and no teeth to bite. The earth was without form and ideas. And that was more than 2000 years after the pyramids were built in Africa. Jay Cee then travelled everywhere, preaching on the mountains, on land, and on water. What was he selling? Hope.

Twita: Sure. Who wants to live a hopeless life? Like ours.

Gugle: That is the point. Jay Cee not only sold raw hope, he sold hope in the present, hope in the past, hope in the future, and hope into the unknown, with spice – fear . There shall be a fiery weeping and gnashing of teeth if you don’t buy the story. And as someone figured out, if you don’t have teeth, teeth will be provided. Hope is the same commodity politicians sell; hope of a better life. Other preachers sell hope of a better afterlife or both. It’s a powerful commodity. Add a fear factor; a bogeyman, fear
