He attended the University of Western Australia, obtaining Honours in Pathology, then travelled overland from Australia to England, experiencing a multitude of cultures. A twist of fate saw him managing pubs in London, before returning to Australia and a career in medical science.
Years later, he helped transform research biobanking at a university hospital in Sweden but never lost the love of wide, wild landscapes which have been an essential part of his artistic focus. Nature is a requisite part of the Australian experience, and throughout life, he nurtured a desire to depict the outdoors in a passionate pursuit of Plein Aire art using pastels and watercolour. His motto is "making mistakes, one line or colour at a time," and he now devotes equal time to painting, writing, and meditation.view less
