Her play The Elmwood Visitation won the Manitoba Day Award, and Carolyn received the John Hirsch Most Promising Writer award in 2008. Her other plays include The Confessional of the Black Penitents or the True Path to the Church, and Caterinetta. She is also the author of the biography Dean Gunnarson: The Making of an Escape Artist, and is particularly interested in mystery and magic. Carolyn received a B.A. from the University of Winnipeg, and also studied at the Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design in Vancouver and the Pratt Institute of Art and Design in Brooklyn, New York.view less
