She is a mother of two daughters, Stephanie (from her husband Steve) and Samantha (from her husband Joshuwa). She is born and raised in New Brunswick with eleven siblings. Heather as a child had a longing to visit the Holy Land and, with her mother in 2001, made the journey to visit Jerusalem. It was in the garden of Gethsemane at the foot of the Mount of Olives that the desires of her heart began to unfold through her love and passion for Israel.
