She is a board certified in both Anesthesiology and Pain Management, so has an understanding of disease from its most critical life-threatening perspectives. Dr. Anderson (all her patients call her Dr. Ruth) runs her own pain management practice where she uses her fitness and wellness expertise to teach her patients that the power to heal lies with in and provides the tools to help them reach their goals.

But the doctor does much more than preach. She has been a chronic pain sufferer since her back injury in 1980 ended her dance career.
