Mr. Phillips received his Bachelor of Arts degree in history from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. During his academic career at UTK, his work within his major focused on European and Amer...view moreMr. Phillips received his Bachelor of Arts degree in history from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. During his academic career at UTK, his work within his major focused on European and American history from the colonial period through the modern era. While pursuing his BA in history, he also minored in political science.
Upon receiving his undergraduate degree, Mr. Phillips attended the Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law at the University of Memphis, earning his Juris Doctor in 1994. His legal career has spanned two decades, however, he is actively engaged in historical research and analysis, giving numerous presentations on historical topics, and writing articles for a number of genealogical and heritage society newsletters.
Mr. Phillips is also the author of The Proposed Tennessee Limited Liability Company Act, 24 U. MEM. L. REV., No. 3, 491 (1994) and Foreign Relations and the Founding of the American Republic, Drumbeat, Vol. 34, No. 1, Spring 2016, published by the General Society Sons of the Revolution.view less
