For the last five years, I have been working on a story that I have been very passionate about although it is fictional. The story came from a series of visions which I am used to having because I am naturally a visual artist. This vision came to me one year when I took a trip to Ghana I will expand more on this on the origins of the story a little later.
I mentioned earlier on that I am a visual artist. Now this story came to me in a picture first. Now being a visual artist I wanted to put my story into an animation, so for the past four to five years, I have been trying to get it made into a movie(e.g., like lion king or beauty and the beast, and Alladin within those realms). But it has been challenging. I have oput out numerous youtube videos but nothing too positive to help my work to that recognizable level. One of my friends has been encouraging me for a while now to turn my story into a children’s book. My fixation on seeing this story turn into an animated movie had not changed. Just about 5 months ago, my friend and I were talking again and the book idea came up again. This time around I really took a deep thought into it, and I finally decided to change my lane and try making this story into a book. So about 5 months ago I sat behind my laptop and just tried to turn my story into a book. Now if this book idea takes off, I am really hoping to turn it into an animation.
