That experience inspired her to pursue a master’s in health services administration and to pursue a PhD in health care administration. Prior to this career change, she served as a marketing executive for over ten years with an MBA in marketing. She founded Elderly Comfort, a nonprofit organization, in 2010 to support nursing homes and serve consumers at home, advocating positive attitudes and quality care. She resides in New Castle, Delaware, with her husband, John, and three sons, Chad Jr., Dylan, and Logan.
The author presents . . . personal motivational anecdotes to empower CNAs to help promote empathy, enthusiasm, and understanding of a healthy positive attitude that care givers are naturally expected to have as they serve and help each other all while they are working toward processing their own personal goals within the long-term care profession.
