Pàdruig MacIlleChiar lives and works in Berneray in the Sound of Harris within sight of where his ancestors lived and worked a quarter of a millennium ago.
He is a member of the Uist Writer's Group and on the committee of Uist Arts Association at Taigh Chearsabhagh Museum and Arts Centre in Lochmaddy, North Uist, where he also coordinates and presents a monthly live music event, Taigh Ciùil.
His first book, published simultaneously in the Gàidhlig (Scottish Gaelic) translation available here and in a printed edition in the original English, has had more than three hundred and seventy downloads which is "...a great achievement in terms of Gaelic books..."view less
