for seven years, he sustained a back injury resulting
in his fi rst book being written during time off
duties titled “And so i’ll walk”. Now, no longer
serving he continues to devote his time to poetry
and philosophy. He spends his time in the hills and
along the coast, he remains a countryman at heart.
His inspiration comes from everything he sees and
experiences and sometimes from putting himself
in other peoples positions. He says “poetry has replaced my previous
past times, before my injury, I would devote many hours to physical
training and activities I loved, I now put more time and effort into using
my mind through poetry and philosophising”.
Jake presents to you this, his second book of poems. He will be
publishing another book of poems later in 2012. But for now enjoy this
book, full of ideas that we all can associate ourselves with and about
places we could all fi nd ourselves in.
If you would like to contact Jake, he would welcome your emails and
any thoughts on any poems you have read.
