Paula Graham, a retired school teacher, resides in Fort Madison, Iowa. She is the mother of four children, seven grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. Since retiring and the ...view morePaula Graham, a retired school teacher, resides in Fort Madison, Iowa. She is the mother of four children, seven grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. Since retiring and the subsequent death of her husband, Paula has written a full length novel called Spirits, in which she addresses the controversial issues of abortion. Four of the poems in this book, Poems Forever were the inspiration for Spirits.
The patriotic poems were inspired by various members of her family as they went to fight in wars beginning with World War I to the present.
Besides spending time with her family, Paula likes to read, write, travel and work on nuclear issues that affected the Cold War Warriors, who helped win the Cold War. They toiled in secret and now are sick and dying from cancer and other diseases from exposure to radiation and other toxic substances.
Her poetry has been published in the International Library of Poetrys Anthologies, The Best Poems and Poets of 2003 and 2004. Also some of her poems are published in the International Whos Who in Poetry for 2004 and 2005. Her poems have also been published in the Alabama National Guard Newspaper.
Paula is also a romantic as expressed in her many poems about romance, love, life, family and faith in this book.view less
