Deferring his youthful passions for drama and creative writing until his career as a New York educator was drawing to retirement, he acted in community theatre and film, and began writing haiku poetry. Treatman is biographied in Who’s Who in America and Who’s Who in the World; and is a World War II decorated combat medic. The author now resides in a senior retirement community in New Jersey, where he continues writing haiku, and is actively involved in local social, political and veterans’ affairs.
