Working with families and outdoor experiential programs across the country, John and his family continue the work Jason was doing prior to his untimely and sudden death.
In this book, John meets and works with very dedicated and skilled wilderness educators who spend days on end in varying environmental conditions—mud, rain, cold, heat, high humidity—guiding and guarding our youth as they find and develop their inner strengths and skills. In the process, children who have low self-esteem, have been scarred by abuse, or have been abandoned by caregivers learn to believe in themselves and form a vision of a life beyond their home streets.
A native of Connecticut, John now resides in southwest Ohio. Jason’s foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. To learn more about the foundation or to make a donation, please visit www.jwhf.org.view less
