My start in manga, after seeing such spectacular animation, the manga is very good, the artwork and the story are so emotional, I would like a second part. (Translated from Spanish)

I think this is the first time I review a manga comic here, but I am a true fan of the genre. Whether it's Shojo, Shonen, or Seinen, they are among my favorites... which, if you allow me, is somewhat like YA and NA in the world of manga comics. The wonderful story of Mitsuha and Taki appears in comic form after the success of the film of the same name. Mitsuha lives in a small village several kilometers from Tokyo, a village without cafes and without bookstores, that’s unthinkable! She is so bored of living there that one day she wishes to be a (handsome) boy in a big city... and she succeeds. Taki wakes up in a lost village and yes, the first thing he does is grab his chest. How can a dream feel so real? They both live parallel lives three days a week; it's quite chaotic until they start leaving messages in both places, with clues so they won’t forget. The first book is a lot of fun; each contributes to the other that feminine or masculine side that completes them. But starting from the second book, the real plot arrives, a catastrophe, dreams, a name to remember, a place, and a braided ribbon. A story that I recommend; maybe you’re not into comics and much less into mangas, where the drawings are very particular. But I believe I haven't read any, and I have read many throughout my life, that I haven't learned something from, internalized some circumstance, or gained a lesson. I think the culture of respect has a lot to offer, in a didactic and totally visual format, making it accessible to many more people than if it were just letters. Makoto and Ranmaru, thank you for the ink.* (Translated from Spanish)

When I started reading it, I thought the story was going to take a different direction. Once I realized what was happening, it did make me feel things in my heart.

It's a beautiful story, with dramatic yet fun elements at the same time.

I lowered my rating under a star just because it got very confusing for me in the part where Mitsuha goes to Tokyo. The timelines don't make sense to me. But other than that, I LOVE this story. (Translated from Spanish)

Today we reread this manga. Mine is in three volumes. It's one of the most magical and beautiful stories I've ever read in my life. I LOVE this book. The characters, the story, the illustrations—everything is perfect. I highly recommend it. I cried so much. (Translated from Spanish)

The truth is that I first saw the movie; the director had captivated me with The Garden of Words, and with Your Name he leaves you breathless. The visual power of the film is such that it seemed very difficult to convey it in a book, but he achieves it. It's the story of two young people who exchange their bodies, a boy from Tokyo and a girl from a rural area of Japan, two opposite characters brought together by chance, and the contrast between life in a mega-city like Tokyo and rural life. From the beginning, both characters start to draw closer to each other despite being so different. A beautiful story that is worth reading and watching. (Translated from Spanish)

Even though it's a story that has been seen very commonly in other adaptations, I liked how the plot is unfolding. I just hope to be able to buy the second volume to see what happens in the story and that it doesn't disappoint. (Translated from Spanish)

Well, I've only read the first volume and frankly, I'm not surprised by the fact that for a "strange" reason, one person swaps bodies with another; it's something we've seen in series and movies hundreds of times. I hope that as I read the following volumes, I'll be surprised by a better plot. (Translated from Spanish)

I love this director, I have followed all his work to this film based on the same book. What surprises me the most this time is that he decided to release his films in manga form, which are beautiful, and the mangas are just as good. A lovely story that enchants. (Translated from Spanish)

This was a FANTASTIC read!! I devoured it in a single afternoon. Granted it is a short read (only 177 pages), but the plot is so good! I really had to try not to cry in public while reading the last chapter. I HIGHLY recommend reading this. (and I recommend seeing the movie too.)
