This book feels like watching a train wreck. I know it will be bad but for some stupid reason I can't stop reading it, to the point that I spend a whole night reading.

As I predicted at the end of the previous book this is not other story about Christian and Ana. it's still the same story, it's just the second part of the story, and as the previous book the story could have ended here, but this time the author wanted to make sure we knew there was other book out there, so she ended the book with the engagement party , but she tacks a kind of preview cliffhanger combo to the end of it. it's totally out of tone and in the voice of a totally secondary character that I had thought it was already finished with (when the book is all in Ana's voice...

And the sex scenes, they pile hight and high, but they never go anywhere, they aren't sexy and graphic enough for the book to be "hot", and they aren't classy enough for the book to be erotic. And at some point I think that even the author realised that all the sex wasn't going anywhere, so she started to write half scenes, they start kissing and then they are in post coital bliss.

I know that I will probably read the last book because for some weird reason I seam to be stuck in their cliché world and I know that in the near future I wont be able to enjoy a book without thinking about this...

Not as hot as the first one, but plenty of intrigue. I'm quite worried that Christian will die in the last book...so of course I downloaded it just now and will start reading it. I'm not happy with the idea that he practices BDSM because his childhood screwed him up; that is just what all the vanilla people like to think. *sigh*

What does a woman expect from life when she positively comments on the text contained here? What do the sick who practice these things have in their mind and heart? (Translated from Spanish)

The second part of this beautiful story sees Anastasia confronting the women that Christian did not consider for a romantic relationship, who could threaten her life. We see a Christian in a different light, out of control and off-center. New challenges, different aspects of eroticism, and above all, a different level of romance. I loved the extra material in this edition, with scenes from the movie that the author adored and a portion from Christian's perspective. (Translated from Spanish)

Second installment of the "Fifty Shades" trilogy, in which Christian continues to explore his inner demons and young Anastasia confronts her feelings and confusion about her relationship with the attractive and mysterious millionaire, who is full of secrets. A read that will leave you with a dreamy and stunned smile stamped on your face, difficult, very difficult to erase.
This novel picks up right after the ending of the first, when Anastasia finds herself overwhelmed and desolate by the power the mysterious Christian has over her. His initial magnetism has transformed into a dangerous game of sexual domination, and for that reason, the young woman decides to distance herself from him as much as possible and start a new life from scratch. Grey, feeling hurt, tries to convince Anastasia Steele to re-enter his life; she demands changes to the terms of their relationship before giving him another chance. But when the couple begins to feel more confident and achieve a certain stability, some ghosts from Christian's past appear, along with Jack Hyde and Elena Lincoln, putting the couple's future at risk. This time, there will be no secrets or rules.
I liked it just as much or even more than its predecessor. It is much more intense and addictive. It adds a new background story, external to the relationship between Grey and Ana, but which affects them directly, allowing for a glimpse of a shift in both and in how they face the bumps that come their way. The story envelops you, but it's fatal how a story of abuse is romanticized more than one of love. (Translated from Spanish)

I enjoyed this book as much as the first one. It's a well told story, and I like the ways the characters developed throughout the book. I found it hard to take seriously though and chuckled through a lot of it. It isn't particularly well written unfortunately. I think a lot of the scenes were repeated, with the sentences in a different order. The book would have benefited from a lot more thorough editing, which is a shame.

Christian Grey tries to convince Ana Steele to come back into his life. In exchange, she demands a new agreement before accepting: no more rules. However, when the couple begins to feel more confident and attain a certain stability, figures from Christian's past appear, determined to interfere in their relationship. (Translated from Spanish)

Fascinated by the scenes of suspense and eroticism, I could say I devoured it in no time. The dark world of Grey is immensely interesting and intriguing. There are new characters that are interesting and quite intimidating. I didn't like so much that Ana was so emotionally dependent on Christian and weak when it came to enduring certain things. But overall, I found it quite interesting because there was always a conflict to resolve, and it raised many questions that I wanted answered. In the end, it was worth reading. The thing is, I liked the saga. But not for the reasons that everyone says. Honestly, I didn't like the sensuality; the characters are much more complex than what the book shows. But I don't consider it an erotic book. (Translated from Spanish)

I liked this second part much more; it makes Anastasia and Christian's story feel more real and humanized.
And one gradually comes to understand the reasons behind all his problems.

I still don't like the narrative much; it overuses the phrase "the goddess within me." Anastasia says it all the time, and in my reading, it becomes quite annoying, but in terms of the story, it has a bit more structure than the previous one. (Translated from Spanish)

    Better than the previous one.

I didn't like the ending!!! But I had fun, that's my opinion.
I think the characters have matured even if just a little. Great.

Aside from that, nah. (Translated from Spanish)

I consider this novel to be something more romantic than erotic; it lacks coherence when presenting an alternative reality and uses the clichés of fairy tales presented by Disney, but aimed at an older audience. It is frustrating how the main character is idealized, promoting toxic relationships based on power and control; on the other hand, the protagonist exhibits behaviour that is emotionally dependent and stereotypical of the "studious" woman. Better than the first book, but still equally preposterous. Can't help but think Mr. Grey's only appeal is that he is rich. After all if you made him a good looking guy who worked as an low level executive or something equally dull he would be a creepy control freak with way too many issues to deal with.

I don't think I truly appreciate the romance genre so I guess it is no real surprise that I am not impressed with these books.

"i love you" "no, *I* love *you*" "you are my everything" "no *you* are *my* everything" - bleeechhhh

Although people told me books 2 & 3 got better I have to disagree. It is a shame that you can get on the New York Times bestseller list with something as bad as this. You're wondering why I bought book 2 if i disliked the first book so much. Hope that it got better and a morbid interest in seeing how bad it could get. Not even going to bother with the 3rd book at this point as I have so many other books to read that would gratify me more.

It improves on the first book, although it isn't very difficult. This time there are a couple of elements that make the plot a bit more interesting; there's more development of the story. What I mean by this is that there’s more than in the first book, but don’t expect much. The influence of the fanfic style the author wrote before entering the publishing world is still too noticeable. Character development is very poor; only the two protagonists are developed, and that's because there's no other choice. I give it two stars not because it really deserves it, but because I gave the first one one star, and this one is slightly better. (Translated from Spanish)

It's a good and exciting saga, but I must say that the third one ended up dragging on. It hooks you with that erotic part of the character, but once it starts to become more of a full-on love story, the narrative begins to feel monotonous. (Translated from Spanish)

For some strange reason, I decided to give this saga a second chance. Practically the same as the first book, I'll leave the review of that first book here: Personally, I found it to be a book that hooked me quite a bit.
