He's a graduate of Swarthmore College in Swarthmore, Pennsylvania, and retired from a long management career during which he was president of several prominent companies in the home and contract furnishings industry. In addition to his writing, he has traveled extensively in many parts of the world and has had numerous one-man shows of his photography. He lives in Baltimore, Maryland.
