The first set of an extraordinary collection of 10 sets of personal letters written by Lord Chesterfield to his illegitimate son, young Philip Stanhope, then living abroad with his tutor to further his education.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5A marvelous instructional treatise, from father to son, on the attributes of gentlemanly behavior. Though penned in the 18th century, this prescriptive advisement on proper manners and genteel behavior is still relevant today. Many young as well as older men would benefit enormously from just a drop of the well-spring of wisdom Lord Chesterfield shares with his son. This is a title i'd highly recommend giving a listen to..
