I got this audiobook because it was my favorite book as a child! It’s what started my love of books. I wanted to share this with my nephews and listen to it myself. I have a hard time listening to books but as a kid I loved hearing my teachers read to us, so I downloaded a couple of my favorite classics and they didn’t disappoint

My daughter asked me to read this so I figured I would give it a chance. This series stands the test of time and is very enjoyable.

From my 5 year old daughter: “The book was awesome. I loved the part where Benny learned how to read, because I’m learning how to read. I liked how they found the boxcar that they could live in. I listened to the book during my quiet time in 3 days.”

I read this and many of the sequels when I was a kid. It is a very simple story from a much simpler time told in simple language. Very heartwarming.

This story was just as good as I remember it from when I was a kid. And my 6yo loves it too. But the way the narrator did Benny’s voice was completely
awful we could barely finish the book
