I love the way Sisi Aisha Johnson does Aftran 942's voice. Aftran sounds like a middle-aged woman (a great jarring contrast to Karen) but in this one especially, she sounds like a *weary* middle-aged woman. It's so effective at convincing us that this Yeerk has been at war way too long, and just wants any out she can take. I also like the contrast between Ax's overly-precise voice (you can tell this is an alien kid desperately trying to get it right and in way over his head) and Aftran's no-nonsense way of talking (you can tell this is an alien veteran with no craps left to give).
