Retired high-school science teacher (Patricia Heaton), a divorced mother of two adult children, finally realises her dream when she graduates as a doctor and begins interning (Ito Aghayere) disapproves of her cheerful attitude and disregard for the hospital’s strict hierarchy, and punishes her by assigning her to collect stool samples! After meeting senior physician Dr Stephen (Kyle MacLachlan), who takes a liking to her, Carol is buoyed to be successful and prove to her fellow interns, (Jean-Luc Bilodeau), (Lucas Neff) and (Sabrina Jalees), that being in her fifties won’t inhibit her efforts on the job.
