I disagree with others. I thought it was a fun read. It dragged a bit at the end and the duke said “I love you” a few too many times for me. Generally, I really like this series and I think this one was a fine addition — the occult stuff is fun and a bit sci-fi. The characters are in all the books and I LOVE the continuity. Often characters from prior books make cameo appearances but Sumner uses them more than that without taking away from the main couple. Nicely done! Looking forward to reading Simon’s story.
