- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I’ve read all the writing classics. This one is more accurate to my writing style. If an affect theorist wrote a book about writing, this comes close. She quotes Wittgenstein, not the same tired canonical writers a lot of writing books quote. Can’t believe I’ve never heard of this. To put it crudely, this is about applying mindfulness to writing: being aware of the mind-states that get you into the state of mind requires for each stage of writing.
