Have to say I’m disappointed.
This started out great, the chemistry between Landon and Toby was good, but then somewhere in the middle it just lost steam. All they did was feed each other’s insecurities, reassure each other, then trigger more insecurities in a way that started to feel repetitive fast. However, this isn’t my main problem with the book. My main problem is that we’re introduced to a well crafted, easy to hate villain in Landon’s ex, but then his part of the plot just…goes nowhere. At the end of the book, they still have the threats he’s made hanging over their heads, turning what could have been a HEA to a HFN. It feels anticlimactic and disappointing. Sad to say that downloading this feels like it was a waste of data.
