About this audiobook

Josephine began to suspect something was wrong with the crumbling gothic monstrosity next door when its family fled in the middle of the night, the children screaming, the mother crying. They never came back. No family stays at Marwick House for long. No life lingers beyond its blackened windows. No voices drift from its ancient halls. Once, Josephine swore she saw a woman's silhouette pacing through the upstairs room… but that's impossible. No one had been there in a long, long time.

But now someone new has moved next door, and Marwick House is slowly waking up. Torn between staying away and warning the new tenant, Josephine only knows that if she isn't careful, she may be its next victim...

I liked the audiobook. I do think it seemed to wrap things up too fast and in a hurry.

Another amazing book. Even though only little over 5hrs it was still a great detailed book.

Once again, I went into this book of Coates thinking; 'well, maybe this one will be scary and better paced'? NO.
This is another of those "Lifetime Channel" wanna be ghost stories, that never lets you see or meet the ghostly images that are supposedly being seen by the female who lives in 'the haunted house'. So So slow and boring.

Will be not be reading or listening to anymore of this 'Wanna Be Danielle Steele' of female thrillers that are NOT thrilling at all.
    2 just ehs.
Cannot recommend and won't. Sorry, skip it!
