About this audiobook
Once upon a time there was a little fat comfortable grey squirrel, called Timmy Tiptoes. He had a nest thatched with leaves in the top of a tall tree; and he had a little squirrel wife called Goody.
Every day they made several journeys and picked quantities of nuts. They carried them away in bags, and stored them in several hollow stumps near the tree where they had built their nest.

Reviews for The Tale of Timmy Tiptoes
7 ratings5 reviews
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5The Tale of Timmy Tiptoes is one of the classic Beatrix Potter stories beautifully narrated and accompanied by brief musical elements.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This is a quaint little tale about woodland creatures trying to prepare for the winter. Even though other animals may threaten to take their food away from them, Timmy Tiptoes has another plan entirely!
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Timmy Tiptoes and his wife, Goody Tiptoes, store their nuts in several holes. The other squirrels think that Timmy Tiptoes has stolen their nuts, and they catch him and stick him in one of the holes. Eventually he gets out and stores his nuts with a padlock in the future.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This tale always ruffles my feathers. The injustice of it all! Reading it now, as an adult, I think it captures the capriciousness of squirrels (as we view them) very well. The seeming randomness of little woodland creatures. A fun story.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5Needlessly violent and pointless.
