About this audiobook
"An Impossible Victory" is a story about one man's relentless pursuit to expose corruption within state medical boards, the New Jersey state courts and government. It follows the journey of physician Richard Arjun Kaul, MD, as he fights his way back from professional annihilation. "An Impossible Victory" is a David v. Goliath tale, in which Richard, a highly qualified surgeon, who despite his lack of legal training, achieved unprecedented legal milestones. It is the story of a man, who overcame adversity in childhood, and entered at the aged eighteen, one of the world's top medical schools. A poor Indian immigrant, raised in Britain in the 1970s, who fought racism. A man who was orphaned by the age of sixteen and who, in 1999, challenged the British Government in a landmark legal case. This caused a retaliatory prosecution by the Crown Prosecution Service. A criminal case tried at the Old Bailey, that could have resulted in Richard spending life in jail. He walked out of the court a free man. In September 2001 he returned to the United States, having previously left in 1995. He rose to the top of the field of minimally invasive spine surgery. It was from this pinnacle, that in 2012, he was attacked and his life destroyed by jealous physicians. By 2016, he rose from the ashes of his life, but in the world of law, a Phoenix-like rise that destroyed the political career of Christopher J. Christie. The story describes how the most powerful corporations and individuals in the United States, including Geico, a corporation owned by Warren Buffet, Allstate and Senator Schumer, sought to obstruct Richards prosecution of a federal racketeering lawsuit. "An Impossible Victory" is a story that weaves together the worlds of medicine, law, business and politics at the highest levels. It is a story of resilience and one man's search for justice.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5An astonishing story of how Dr Kaul steadfastly refuses to be cowed by the establishment, the medical boards, the medical insurance companies and the corrupt area of administration when they take his license and livelihood away. A tale of courage and determination in which Dr Kaul fights back on his own terms, becoming a legal expert and singlehandedly and systematically exposing corruption at every level. The first of series of books in which this battle develops and proceeds.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5An Amazing story of Dr. Kaul’s determination, resilience and fortitude whose strong bravery, philosophical consciousness and depth of spirituality allows him, not to give up nor to give in, to injustice. Dr. Kaul takes a stand for dignity and for justice.
“An Impossible Victory” is a real eye opener to the depth of the corruption that unfortunately exists not only in politics, but how it extends to other areas of our nation when it falls in the hands of unscrupulous individuals and the devastating effects it can have on people’s lives. Dr. Kaul’s personal sacrifice and efforts will give rise to a new level of awareness, which will transform, transcend and question our medical, political and legal system.1 person found this helpful

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5A great story of perseverance and fighting for what is right and just. And it’s all being done in the name of trying to heal people. My father was someone who fought chronic back pain for 20 years, 3 fusions and a host of other procedures. So this book hits home for me. Let the excellent doctors heal their patients!

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5The unedited truth about the state of the medical industries political corruption decimating the lives of Doctors, patients, and payers of insurance premiums. Through the lens of his epic experience in the UK and New Jersey Dr Richard Kaul distills this almost unbelievable tale of greed, fear and dishonesty that runs like a cancer through a broken system.
From tough beginnings to great career heights the rug that was pulled from under his feet is slowly but surely replaced, a rug that is woven by many highs and lows. The loss of his medical license, livelihood and separation from his family is being replaced by Richards thirst for legal knowledge and with grit and determination, he weaves his life back from a state of homelessness to a new perspective, one of focus that that has meaning far beyond what most dare imagine.
One could say his story contains elements of Erin Brockovich and Viktor Frankl. However, for me I would simply say a man who dearly loves his children and fights for truth and justice at any cost.
