There is nothing uplifting or fun about this story but I was captivated the whole way through. Love the writing and the unfolding story as it shifts back and forth between 'then' and 'now'.1 person found this helpful

3.5 stars due to the vagueness/mismatch of the description… this book is definitely not what I expected but was well written and well read (though it would have benefited massively from sound editing to remove mouth sounds).
The story is quite unique and keeps you intrigued, though be forewarned it’s not a light or happy read.
Personally I would’ve appreciated knowing it was a book abt motherhood as it’s not an area I have much interest, but the story and writing did enough to hold my attention.
Definite trigger warnings should be applied for those sensitive to tragedies involving miscarriages/loss/ppd. - Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5
