It was very interesting to learn of Cory's fate, although it still has a reader guessing even after the final page of this book. While the narrator was good, the character doing the narration was very unlikeable, which at times made continuing very difficult. I found myself needing to take frequent breaks to this story, as the main character was so difficult to like those breaks were needed to cool down as Clara Sue was as easy to like as a pandemic that caused raw nerve endings, and made its victims feel the compulsion to run through rows of thorn bushes and sleep in barrels of tacks that were being rolled endless down mountainsides as one sleeps! Yes, I found Clara Sue really that hard to tolerate.

Still I look forward to what becomes of this Secret brother , and what leads to his life as we see in Echoes of Dollanganger.

Didn't like this book. Skimmed through most of it, hoping to finally find something exciting. It should have been told from Cory's view, not Clara Sue. I didn't like Clara Sue and wasn't interested in her selfish views and her love life. This book should have been named Clara Sue because Cory was such a small part of the story.

A great ending to a tragic and spellbinding book series. I read all 11 of the books In chronological order and felt such a deeper understanding to the characters and the awful things they all went through. I read flowers in the attic and the 3 books that followed when I was younger, and now after rereading them in their complete story line....I'm just overwhelmed and find myself thinking about them often.

Read Flowers in the Attic, and the rest of the Dollanganger series at least 20 years ago - and never knew what happened to little Cory after he was taken away sick the night before the escape from the attic.

Having closure to his story is fantastic. Well written, engaging and a very worthwhile read.

stupidest book I've ever read and I've read plenty, such a shame cause the first ones were awesome.

The story is no where near the quality the actual VC Andrews would deliver. And, while it's nice to know finally what really happened to Cory, this story has the feel of a "cash grab"; very much riding on the coattails of the well-written and successful first series.

I expected more focus on Corey so that was disappointing but it was still a good read.
