About this audiobook
For much of the 20th and 21st centuries, women’s sexuality was an uncharted territory in science, studied far less frequently—and far less seriously—than its male counterpart.
That is, until Emily Nagoski’s Come As You Are, which used groundbreaking science and research to prove that the most important factor in creating and sustaining a sex life filled with confidence and joy is not what the parts are or how they’re organized but how you feel about them. In the years since the book’s initial publication, countless women have learned through Nagoski’s accessible and informative guide that things like stress, mood, trust, and body image are not peripheral factors in a woman’s sexual wellbeing; they are central to it—and that even if you don’t always feel like it, you are already sexually whole by just being yourself. This revised and updated edition continues that mission with new information and advanced research, demystifying and decoding the science of sex so that everyone can create a better sex life and discover more pleasure than you ever thought possible.

Compulsary reading for everyone who likes sex, wants sex and has all the questions. Sex ED fails to tell us true stories about our bodies, desires and partners. This book makes up for a lot.
I thought I was fairly aware about society´s fucked up cultural messages, but this book really opened my eyes to deeper levels of conditioning.
Great audiobook as well!4 people found this helpful

Every woman needs to read or listen to this book! We are all normal and we shouldn’t be made to feel like we aren’t. One of my favorite lines in the book is to “stop comparing your experiences with your expectations.” In a world of social media likes and the art of comparing yourself to everyone else this book will help you get out of your own head and self doubt. And bonus might help you have better orgasms ?3 people found this helpful

If you are a cishet woman (who is probably white) this book is for you. If you're queer in any way, especially gender queer, don't bother. The author did not write it with you in mind. Look elsewhere. Please. I can't stress that enough. Do not waste your time. - Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5

This was disappointing. A whole lot of "You are ok just as you are", and very little "Here's what you can do about it as a person with, or partner of, a 'responsive desire' type. - Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5

While there were a few informative moments, this was entirely too long. If it had been edited down to only saying something once instead of 2, 3, or 10 times, the book could have been cut in half. If it weren't so repetitive, I would have enjoyed it more. By the hallways mark, I couldn't wait for it to be over. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5

This is a phenomenal book and I HIGHLY recommend it to all open -minded, open-hearted people who are ready to learn about the science behind women’s sexuality. Dr. Emily Nagoski has a clever, witty sense of humer, and she infuses jokes, metaphors, and relatable language as if you were having a safe, comfortable conversation with a close friend. This is my second time reading this book, and each time I reread it, I learn more and more. Truly wonderful. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5

Wise and generous book.
I would rather not write anything else in this review but this shitty program demands more verbiage.
